These are primarily traction devices for ice and packed snow. They do not provide the flotation of snowshoes.
While the TPU matrix is durable, walking on bare rock or dry pavement will accelerate wear on the stainless steel spikes.
The Medium size is sized for EU 40-43. Ensure your boot is within this range; if your footwear is unusually bulky (like a heavy mountaineering boot), you may need to adjust your sizing expectations.
The spikes are integrated into the TPU matrix and rivet system; they are not intended to be individually replaced.
The Ghost model is 43% lighter than the standard Kahtoola MICROspikes.
Ensure the TPE heel loop is pulled firmly over the widest part of your shoe heel; verify that you are using the correct size for your footwear volume.
