The jacket is water-repellent, meaning it handles light snow and rain well, but it is not intended to be fully submerged or worn in torrential downpours.
Yes, the hood is detachable via a snap-button system for a cleaner, more minimalist look.
Store it in a breathable garment bag, hung up in a cool, dry closet. Avoid plastic covers which can trap moisture.
Nylon laqué is a high-density, ultra-lightweight fabric with a signature glossy finish that is characteristic of the Moncler brand.
The Moncler Maya generally fits true to size, but consider your preferred layering; if you plan to wear thick sweaters underneath, you may prefer a standard fit.
This is normal for high-quality down jackets. Gently pull the feather back into the jacket from the inside rather than pulling it out through the fabric.
Allow the jacket to hang in a well-ventilated area for 24 hours. The nylon laqué typically relaxes on its own; avoid using high-heat irons.
To ensure the longevity of your Moncler Maya, always use the provided snap-buttons to attach or detach the hood rather than pulling on the fabric. When storing the jacket, avoid compressing it for extended periods to maintain the loft of the down filling; hang it in a cool, dry place on a sturdy, padded hanger. For cleaning, follow the care label instructions strictly. Due to the specialized nylon laqué finish and down filling, it is highly recommended to use professional dry cleaning services that specialize in luxury outerwear or down-filled garments. Avoid machine drying, as excessive heat can damage the glossy nylon surface.
