The Keypak 200mm Adjustable Gate Spring is designed for homeowners and property managers looking to ensure gates, barn doors, and shed doors close automatically behind them. It provides the essential benefit of improved security and convenience by keeping access points shut without manual intervention, though users should note that the spring requires periodic tension monitoring to maintain optimal closing force over time.

Yes, as long as you have the appropriate fasteners for metal surfaces, such as self-tapping screws.
Not at all. The design allows for straightforward manual adjustments using basic tools.
The finish is designed for outdoor durability, but like all hardware, it may experience minor cosmetic wear over many years of direct sun exposure.
Yes, provided it is mounted correctly to the hinge side of the gate.
While one spring is usually sufficient for standard gates, you can use two if you have a particularly heavy door that requires extra closing power.
Increase the spring tension by rotating the adjustment mechanism further.
Decrease the tension to reduce the speed and closing force of the spring.
Apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to the coils.
Installation requires basic hand tools, including a drill and a screwdriver. Ensure the spring is mounted securely to both the gate and the post to prevent binding. The tension is adjusted by rotating the end of the spring; once the desired tension is achieved, lock it into place using the provided hardware.
