These sleeves are ideal for water-based emulsion paints. They are designed for achieving a fine finish on smooth surfaces with these types of coatings.

While they can be used with caution, they are primarily designed for emulsion paints. For gloss or oil-based paints, particularly those with higher viscosity, a different type of roller sleeve might offer better performance and easier cleanup.

With proper cleaning and care after each use, these roller sleeves can be reused multiple times. The durability of the thermobonded construction and quality fabric allows for longevity, but performance may eventually degrade with extensive use.

The short pile design is optimized for smooth surfaces, providing a fine, lint-free finish with minimal texture. It allows for precise application and reduces the risk of 'orange peel' effects often seen with longer pile rollers on smooth finishes.

These sleeves are best suited for interior use on smooth surfaces. For exterior applications, especially on rougher textures, a more robust roller sleeve designed for exterior paints and surfaces might be more appropriate.

Thermobonded means the fabric is permanently bonded to the roller core using heat. This prevents the fabric from unwinding or separating from the core, even when fully saturated with paint or during vigorous use.

After cleaning and ensuring they are completely dry, store the roller sleeves in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. They can be stored on their respective roller frames or loosely placed in a container.

Ensure the sleeve is properly primed before first use by lightly dampening it with water. Clean the sleeve thoroughly after each use and allow it to dry completely. Check for any loose threads and trim them carefully. Some minimal shedding might occur initially but should decrease with use and proper care.

Ensure the roller is evenly loaded with paint; avoid overloading or underloading. Apply paint with consistent pressure and overlap each stroke by at least a third. Check that the surface being painted is properly prepared and free from debris. For very smooth surfaces, ensure the paint is stirred adequately.

This is rare due to the thermobonded construction. If it occurs, it may indicate the sleeve has been used beyond its lifespan or subjected to excessive force. Replace the sleeve with a new one. Ensure correct roller frame is used to avoid undue stress.

Clean the sleeve immediately after use while the paint is still wet. Use lukewarm water and rinse thoroughly. For stubborn paint, a mild detergent can be used, but ensure it is rinsed out completely. Allow to air dry fully.
