Sharp sand is coarser than building sand (with a grade of 0-4mm) and is used in paving and landscaping for two main roles. To use in bedding mortar and as block paving laying course. It is used as the main ingredient for laying course bedding mortar for the additional strength and cohesion it provides to the mortar mix.
