Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
Getting started with your Predator Match Fingersave gloves is straightforward:
- Dampen Palms: Before your first use, and ideally before every use, lightly dampen the latex palms with water. This activates the grip properties of the Soft Grip Pro latex.
- Wear Gloves: Carefully put on each glove, ensuring your fingers are fully extended and comfortably seated within the integrated FingerSave spines.
- Adjust Strap: Secure the half-wrap wrist strap firmly but comfortably around your wrist. It should be snug enough to prevent the glove from slipping but not so tight that it restricts circulation or flexibility.
Compatibility
These gloves are designed for goalkeepers of all skill levels, from beginners to experienced players. They are suitable for use in various training environments and match conditions on natural and artificial grass surfaces.
Care Instructions
Proper care is essential to maintain the performance and extend the lifespan of your goalkeeper gloves:
- After Each Use: Gently wash the latex palms with lukewarm water. You can lightly rub the palms together to remove dirt and sweat. Avoid using harsh soaps, detergents, or abrasive materials, as these can damage the latex.
- Rinsing: Rinse thoroughly to ensure all dirt and cleaning residue are removed.
- Drying: Allow the gloves to air dry naturally away from direct sunlight or artificial heat sources (like radiators or tumble dryers). Do not wring the gloves, as this can damage the latex and stitching. Lay them flat or hang them by the wrist strap.
- Storage: Store your gloves in a cool, dry place. Ideally, keep them flat or loosely rolled with the palms facing inwards to protect the latex. Avoid folding or creasing the palms excessively.
- Avoid Abrasive Surfaces: Whenever possible, avoid dragging the latex palms on rough or abrasive surfaces (e.g., concrete, gravel) when off the pitch, as this can quickly wear down the latex.
