Mepore Self-Adhesive Dressing 7x8cm is a skin-friendly, water-based adhesive that gently sticks to the skin, and is easy to remove with minimum or no pain. They are water-based, solvent-free and completely skin-friendly. Key features include: Easy-to-remove protection paper for convenient and aseptic application. Flexible fabric that conforms well to body contours and allows body movements. Non-absorbent fabric providing a barrier for blood and fluid strike-through. Polyacrylate adhesive designed to be gentle to the skin and provide secure fixation. Absorbent wound pad for moderate wound fluids with a low-adherent wound contact layer. Permeable nonwoven fabric for air and water vapour. Usage Instructions: The frequency of dressing changes depends on the condition of the wound. To remove, grasp the edge and slowly peel the dressing from the skin in the direction of hair growth. Open package and remove the dressing. Grip both overlapping release papers, exposing the adhesive surface for initial fixation. Position the dressing on the skin without stretching and gently remove the rest of the release papers. Firmly smooth the adhesive border for proper adhesion. Do not stretch the dressing when applying. Areas of use: Suitable for a wide variety of wounds with low to moderate exudate levels, including surgical wounds, minor burns, cuts, and abrasions. Precautions: No absolute contra-indications identified, but avoid use on patients sensitive to acrylic adhesives or those with very fragile or easily damaged skin. Ensure the dressing does not impair joint movement or flexibility. Do not apply under tension to prevent skin damage from shearing forces. Consider more flexible products for areas with potential swelling to minimize skin trauma.
