The Salomon Outpath Utility Track Pants are designed for outdoor enthusiasts and hikers who require a balance between technical performance and everyday versatility. These pants offer a significant advantage with their water-repellent, durable fabric construction that keeps you comfortable in changing weather conditions, though users should note they are optimized for active trail use rather than heavy-duty mountaineering environments.

They are water-repellent, meaning they shed light rain and moisture, but they are not fully waterproof and will saturate in heavy or sustained rain.
They are best suited for three-season use. For winter conditions, you may need to wear a thermal base layer underneath for adequate insulation.
Consult the Salomon size guide, paying close attention to your waist measurement, as the integrated belt provides flexibility in the fit.
Yes, the athletic cut and durable fabric make them appropriate for bouldering and rock climbing, provided you are mindful of abrasive surfaces.
Machine wash in cool water with a gentle detergent and avoid fabric softeners. Tumble dry on a low setting.
Ensure the webbing is properly threaded through the buckle teeth and pull the strap firmly to engage the locking mechanism.
The DWR coating may have worn off; machine wash to remove dirt and tumble dry on low heat to reactivate, or apply a fresh DWR spray.
To ensure your Salomon track pants maintain their performance characteristics, always wash them in cool water on a gentle cycle. Avoid using fabric softeners, as these can strip the durable water-repellent (DWR) coating from the fabric. To reactivate the water-repellent properties after several washes, you may tumble dry on low heat or apply a DWR spray treatment as needed. When sizing, utilize the integrated belt to cinch the waist after putting on the pants to ensure the most secure fit for your specific body shape.
