Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and level. Minor imperfections should be addressed before installation.
- Acclimatize the LVT planks in the room where they will be installed for at least 48 hours before laying.
- Begin installation along a straight wall, ensuring the first plank is laid with the tongue side facing the wall.
- Engage the 5G Click system by angling the next plank and lowering it to lock into place. Continue this process across the room.
- Use a tapping block and hammer gently to ensure a tight fit between planks if needed.
- Cut planks to size using a sharp utility knife or a flooring cutter for precise fits around obstacles.
Compatibility:
This LVT is suitable for installation over most existing hard surface floors, concrete, and wooden subfloors. It is compatible with underfloor heating systems, provided the temperature does not exceed recommended limits (check manufacturer guidelines).
Care:
- Sweep or vacuum regularly to remove dust and debris.
- Clean spills immediately with a damp cloth.
- For deeper cleaning, use a pH-neutral floor cleaner and a well-wrung-out mop. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive water.
- Use furniture pads on the legs of heavy furniture to prevent scratches.
