The Schwalbe Black Jack Wire Tyre is a versatile, entry-level mountain bike tyre from the Active Line, ideal for recreational riders who transition frequently between hard-packed surfaces and off-road trails. Its standout feature is a continuous center tread that ensures efficient rolling speed while providing necessary traction for cornering; however, as an entry-level wire bead tyre, it is slightly heavier than high-performance foldable alternatives.

Check the sidewall of your specific tyre for the PSI range recommended by Schwalbe.
Ensure the wire bead is fully centered in the deepest part of the rim channel while installing the final section.
Check your tyre pressure before every ride and inspect the inner tube for thorns or debris embedded in the casing.
Installation requires standard tyre levers to seat the wire bead onto the rim. Ensure the inner tube is lightly inflated before mounting to prevent pinch flats during seating. Because this is a wire-bead tyre, it is not tubeless-ready and must be used with a standard inner tube. To extend the lifespan of the tyre, maintain the manufacturer-recommended pressure levels and inspect the tread regularly for debris or glass shards. If the bike is stored outdoors, keep it away from direct sunlight to prevent sidewall dry-rot.
