These chlorine granules are a popular choice for maintaining safe and bacteria-free pool and spa water. Apply regularly to achieve recommended free chlorine levels: 3-5 mg/l (ppm) for hot tubs or 1-3 mg/l (ppm) for swimming pools. These granules dissolve quickly, are long-lasting, and have minimal impact on water pH. They are suitable for shock dosing small above-ground pools. Key Features: Granular chlorine has little effect on the pH level of the water. These stabilised chlorine granules are ideal for regular dosing of your swimming pool or spa, to produce free active chlorine which kills bacteria and other potentially harmful organisms. Application Instructions: 1. Maintain pH level within the ideal range of 7.2 – 7.6. Adjust with pH plus or pH minus products if necessary. 2. Maintain free chlorine residuals for spas within the range 3 – 5mg/l (ppm). For swimming pools, it should be 1 - 3mg/l (ppm). Freshly filled spas require an initial shock or start-up dose of chlorine: 50mg/l (ppm) for 1 hour or 20mg/l (ppm) for 2 hours. 3. This product may be applied directly to pools or spas where temperatures exceed 20 degrees C. If below this temperature or in doubt, pre-dissolve in a clean plastic container at a maximum rate of 10g of product per 0.2 gallons (1ltr) of water. Stir well until fully dissolved. Add the solution to the spa or pool while the pumps are running. 4. Repeat dose application if necessary to achieve the required levels. 5. Periodically (e.g., weekly or after heavy spa use), shock dose your spa to eliminate excess contamination. Dose Rates: For a medium hot tub (1,000 litres / 220 Gallons of water), 2g will increase the chlorine level by 1mg/l (ppm), or 6g will increase it by 3mg/l (ppm).
