Troubleshooting

Divan base feels unstable or creaks

Ensure all connecting bolts and screws are tightened securely. Check that the base is on a level surface. If the issue persists, contact customer support.

Drawers are difficult to open or close

Verify that the bed is on a level surface and that nothing is obstructing the drawer runners. Ensure drawers are not overfilled. Check for any damage to the runners.

Fabric has a minor stain

Gently blot the stained area with a clean, damp cloth and a small amount of mild fabric cleaner. Avoid rubbing vigorously. Always test cleaning products in an inconspicuous spot first.

Headboard attachment is loose

Check and re-tighten the bolts connecting the headboard to the divan base or bed frame. Ensure any provided support struts are correctly installed.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The Mayfair Divan Bed typically requires assembly. While some versions may arrive pre-assembled, it is common for the divan base to be delivered in sections requiring joining. Instructions are usually provided, and it is recommended to have two people for easier and safer assembly, especially for larger sizes. Ensure you have adequate space for assembly. Attachments for headboards or footboards, if applicable, should be secured according to the provided manual.

Compatibility: This divan base is designed to be compatible with most standard UK-sized mattresses. The choice of mattress firmness and type (e.g., memory foam, spring, hybrid) will ultimately affect the sleeping experience, but the base itself provides a stable platform for all.

Care: To maintain the luxurious appearance of your Mayfair Divan Bed, regular dusting with a soft, dry cloth is recommended. For fabric upholstery, spot cleaning with a mild fabric cleaner is advised for minor spills. Always test any cleaning solution on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the fabric. For deeper cleaning, professional upholstery cleaning services are recommended.
