The Kangri GTX Gaiter offers reinforced ankles for protection against debris and light crampon contact. For extensive mountaineering involving heavy crampon use, more robustly constructed mountaineering-specific gaiters might be more appropriate.

You can clean the gaiters with a damp cloth and mild soap. For a deeper clean, machine wash on a gentle cycle with warm water and a technical wash, then tumble dry on low heat to maintain water repellency.

ePE (expanded polyethylene) is a new, more sustainable membrane technology used in GORE-TEX products, offering similar performance to traditional membranes while reducing environmental impact.

While designed for trekking/mountaineering boots, the low-profile design and elasticated ankles may allow them to fit over some trail running shoes. Ensure a secure fit with the underfoot strap.

The fit can be adjusted using the one-handed drawcord at the top to tighten around your leg, and the underfoot strap to secure them to your boot.

The zipless hook-and-loop closure allows for very quick and easy application and removal, which is especially useful in adverse weather conditions or when on the move.

The combination of the adjustable top drawcord, the snug elasticated ankle, and the secure underfoot strap and shoelace hook is designed to keep the gaiters firmly in place during activity.

Ensure the underfoot strap is securely fastened and hooked to your laces. Adjust the top drawcord for a tighter fit around your calf.

Check for any gaps in the hook-and-loop closure or around the ankle. Ensure the drawcord is fully tightened. Inspect for any damage to the GORE-TEX fabric.

Clean the hook-and-loop surfaces to remove dirt and debris. If the hook-and-loop is worn, consider replacing the gaiters.

Ensure the strap is not rubbing excessively against rough boot soles. Consider using gaiter strap replacements if available.
