Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
The HOMCOM Rollator Walker typically arrives partially assembled.
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging.
- Unfold: Extend the frame until it locks securely into place.
- Adjust Height: Adjust the handles to a comfortable height. Your elbows should have a slight bend (about 15-30 degrees) when your hands are on the grips. The walker is suitable for users between 160-190cm tall.
- Check Brakes: Ensure the dual hand brakes are functioning correctly. Squeeze the levers to slow down, and push them down to engage the parking brake.
- Verify Stability: Before first use, gently apply weight to the walker to ensure all wheels are firmly on the ground and the frame is stable.
Compatibility:
This rollator is specifically designed for individuals between 160cm (approximately 5 feet 3 inches) and 190cm (approximately 6 feet 3 inches) in height. Users outside this range may find it less comfortable or safe to use.
Care:
- Cleaning: Wipe down the frame with a damp cloth and mild soap regularly. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could damage the finish. The padded seat can be spot cleaned with upholstery cleaner.
- Wheel Maintenance: Periodically check the large rubber wheels for debris, wear, and tear. Ensure they spin freely.
- Brake Inspection: Regularly test the dual hand braking system for responsiveness and adjust if necessary. Consult the user manual for brake adjustment instructions.
- Storage: Store the walker in a dry, safe place. If it folds (Info needed: Does it fold?), ensure it is folded compactly to save space.
- Fasteners: Check all screws and bolts periodically to ensure they are tight and secure.
