The Bricky Pro is optimized for straight runs; corner work will likely still require traditional hand-laying techniques.
No, the Bricky Pro is calibrated specifically for 102.5mm, 140mm, and 215mm widths.
A standard plastic mortar consistency works best; if it is too runny, it will leak, and if too dry, it will not flow smoothly from the tool.
It is highly recommended for beginners to watch the DVD to understand the proper technique for moving the tool along the wall.
Always rinse the trowel with water immediately after use and dry it to prevent oxidation of the metal blade.
Check the tool setting to ensure it is locked into the correct width slot and verify that the mortar consistency is not too dry or too stiff.
Clean the sliding surfaces of the tool to remove any dried mortar residue that might be causing friction.
Slow down the speed of application and ensure you are not overfilling the tool chamber before moving it.
Setup begins by selecting the correct width setting on the tool frame. Ensure the tool is clean and free of hardened mortar before starting each session. After use, wash the Bricky Pro thoroughly with water to prevent mortar buildup. Because the tool relies on precision contact, avoid dropping it on hard surfaces, as deformations can compromise the uniformity of the joints. Store the tool in a dry area to maintain the longevity of the frame and accessories.
