Troubleshooting

Weak or incomplete flush

Check that the flush pipe is not kinked or obstructed. Ensure both connections to the cistern and pan are secure and properly sealed to prevent leaks. Verify the water level in the cistern is correct.

Pipe does not fit cistern/pan outlet

Confirm that your cistern is a low-level or concealed type. Double-check the connection diameters. While flexible, the pipe has specific connection sizes; ensure compatibility with your existing fittings.

Leak at connection points

Ensure the rubber seals are correctly seated and undamaged. Tighten the retaining nuts gently but firmly. If leaks persist, inspect the seals for wear or damage and replace if necessary.

Pros and Cons

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Ensure the cistern and toilet pan are in their final positions.
  2. Connect one end of the flush pipe to the cistern outlet, ensuring a snug fit.
  3. Connect the other end to the toilet pan inlet, adjusting the pipe's flexibility as needed.
  4. Secure both connections according to the cistern and pan manufacturer's instructions, typically with rubber seals and retaining nuts.

Compatibility:

This flush pipe is designed for use with most low-level and concealed cisterns. Always check the dimensions and connection types of your specific cistern and toilet pan to ensure a proper fit before purchasing.

Care:

To maintain performance, periodically check connections for any signs of leaks. The PVC material is generally maintenance-free. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or solvents that could damage the plastic. If sediment buildup is suspected, gently flush the pipe with water.
