Setup, Compatibility & Care
Planting: Choose a location that receives full, direct sun. Prepare the soil to ensure it is light and well-drained; amend heavy clay soil with compost or grit. Plant the Savory Summer Herb from its 8cm pot directly into the garden bed or a larger container. Ensure adequate spacing for its bushy growth.
Watering: Water regularly, allowing the soil to dry slightly between waterings. Avoid overwatering, as this herb dislikes soggy conditions.
Soil: Prefers light, sandy, or loamy soil. Good drainage is critical.
Sunlight: Absolutely requires full, direct sunlight for best flavor development.
Care: Once established, minimal care is needed beyond watering. Harvest leaves regularly to encourage bushier growth. As an annual, it will not survive a frost and will need to be replanted the following season.
