Full details
Helmi Primer is a water-based, high opacity acrylic primer suitable for new or previously painted wooden surfaces. An M1 category product, Helmi Primer is safe for use on childrens toys and furniture. Perfect for priming furniture, wooden cabinets and more, we suggest you apply using a brush, roller or airless spray before applying a top coat of paint. Tikkurila Helmi Primer is a water-based undercoat paint with ultra low VOCs that is ideal for interior wood and furniture. Provides excellent adhesion to bare and previously painted surfaces. Ideal for use on wood, trim, furniture, kitchen cupboards and doors. Suitable for application by brush, roller or spray. Available in a range of pastel tones (or colour matched), to provide a high opacity colour finish with the subsequent Tikkurila topcoat paint. With multiple eco credentials including the a toy safe certification, the M1 approval (for indoor air quality) and the Nordic Ecolabel. Premium quality primer paint for interior wood & furniture. Minimum content on this size is 2,700ml. Tikkurila products are canned in Finland and at the point of filling the volume in the can is 10% less than the unit of measure to allow for tinting of the product. In order to manufacture the required colour, we need the spare volume for the colourant addition. Great for furniture, kitchen cupboards, interior skirting and doors. Suitable for use on previously painted surfaces as well as bare wood. Water-based with ultra low VOCs and low odour. Apply with brush, roller or spray. With good adhesion, opacity and grain-filling properties. Providing the perfect base for our durable Helmi topcoat range. Toy safe.
