Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Shinto Saw File Rasp requires no assembly. It is ready for immediate use upon unboxing. Ensure you have a secure grip on the handle before commencing work.
Compatibility: This tool is primarily designed for use on wood. It is also effective on soft plastics and other comparable materials. Avoid using on hard metals or stone, as this can damage the cutting edges.
Care: To maintain optimal performance and longevity:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove wood dust and debris. A stiff brush is effective for this. For stubborn residue, a slightly damp cloth can be used, followed by thorough drying.
- Storage: Store the rasp in a dry place, preferably in a protective sleeve or tool roll to prevent damage to the teeth and to avoid accidental contact with other tools or surfaces.
- Avoid Rust: Ensure the tool is completely dry before storing to prevent rust formation on the SK material blade.
