Full details
The Croydex Contour Maxi Four Function Shower Handset is designed for users seeking a versatile and water-saving shower experience. Its key benefit is the adjustable spray patterns and an optional eco-feature for significant water conservation. A potential caveat is its larger 125mm diameter, which may be a preference consideration for some users. This shower handset offers four distinct spray settings, an easy-clean spray plate with rub-clean nozzles, and compatibility with standard fittings.

FAQs
What are the four spray functions?
The four functions are: Saturating, Massage, Saturating Massage, and Bubbling.
How does the optional eco feature work?
The eco feature is typically engaged via a switch or by positioning the spray selector in a specific way. It reduces the water flow rate, saving up to 50% water while maintaining a comfortable showering experience.
Is this shower handset compatible with my existing shower?
Yes, it is compatible with all 1/2" B.S.P. threaded fittings, which is the standard size for most shower hoses. You will need a shower hose to connect it.
How do I clean the handset?
Wipe the chrome finish with a soft, damp cloth. For the spray plate, gently rub the rubber nozzles to clear any limescale or debris. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
What is the diameter of the shower handset?
The diameter of the shower handset is 125mm.
Does it come with a shower hose?
This product is for the shower handset only and does not include a shower hose. A compatible 1/2" B.S.P. threaded shower hose is required for installation.
Can I use this with a high-pressure system?
Yes, the handset is designed to work with various water pressures, including high-pressure systems. The eco-feature can help manage flow in high-pressure situations if desired.
Troubleshooting
Low water pressure from handset
Check that the eco-feature is not engaged if you desire full pressure. Ensure the shower hose is not kinked. Clean the rub-clean nozzles on the spray plate to remove any blockages. Verify that the handset is screwed on correctly and not cross-threaded.
Water leaks from connection point
Ensure the handset is screwed onto the shower hose correctly and is not over-tightened. Check the rubber washer inside the hose connection for damage or wear; replace if necessary.
Spray patterns are not distinct or mixed
The spray selector may be between settings. Rotate the selector ring firmly to the desired pattern. Check the spray plate for blockages and clean the rub-clean nozzles.
Handset feels rough or gritty
This is likely due to limescale buildup. Gently rub the rubber nozzles with your finger or a soft cloth to break up and remove the deposits.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: The Croydex Contour Maxi Four Function Shower Handset is designed for straightforward installation. Ensure your existing shower hose is disconnected from the old handset. Screw the new handset onto the threaded end of your shower hose, ensuring a snug fit. Hand-tighten first, then use a wrench for a final quarter-turn if necessary. Avoid over-tightening, which could damage the threads.
Compatibility: This shower handset is compatible with all standard 1/2" B.S.P. threaded fittings, which is the most common size for shower hoses in the UK and many other regions. It will work with most standard mixer showers, electric showers, and power showers.
Care: To maintain performance and appearance, regularly clean the handset. Use a soft, damp cloth to wipe down the chrome finish. For the spray plate, gently rub the nozzles with your finger or a soft brush to dislodge any limescale or debris. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads, as these can scratch the chrome finish and damage the nozzles.
