Setup, Compatibility & Care
- Preparation: Remove any existing sealant using a sealant remover or a sharp blade. Clean the area thoroughly, ensuring it's free from soap residue, dirt, and mildew. The surface must be completely dry before applying the sealant.
- Application: Break the safety seal on the Unibond tube. Turn the nozzle 90 degrees. Apply at a 45-degree angle by lightly squeezing the trigger. Apply a consistent bead of sealant, ensuring it fills the gap completely. Smooth the sealant with a wet finger or a smoothing tool for a professional finish.
- Curing: Allow the sealant to cure completely according to the manufacturer's instructions, typically 24-48 hours, before exposing it to water.
Compatibility: This sealant is compatible with most common bathroom and kitchen materials, including ceramic, porcelain, acrylic, and laminate. Always test on a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure compatibility.
Care: Clean the sealed areas regularly with a mild detergent and a soft cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or tools that could damage the sealant. Inspect the seals periodically for any signs of damage or deterioration and reseal as needed.
