FAQs

What type of mattress is best for this frame?

This frame is compatible with standard mattresses including memory foam, pocket spring, and latex options.

How do I clean the boucle fabric?

Regular vacuuming with an upholstery attachment is recommended. Spot clean with a damp, lint-free cloth and mild detergent if necessary, taking care not to saturate the fabric.

Does the bed come with a mattress?

No, the Beeston Boucle Upholstered Platform Bed Frame is sold as the frame only; the mattress must be purchased separately.

Can I assemble this bed alone?

While it is possible, we strongly recommend two people for the assembly process to ensure safety and proper alignment of the headboard and side rails.

Why does the beige color look different than the photo?

Boucle fabric and beige tones can appear different under warm or cool indoor lighting, and screen display settings often influence how colors are perceived.

Troubleshooting

Frame feels unstable after assembly

Check that all bolts and hardware connections are fully tightened. Ensure the frame is on a level floor surface.

Fabric has minor indentations or flattened areas

Gently steam the area or use a soft brush to lift the fibers and restore the boucle texture.

Difficulty aligning headboard components

Loosen all structural screws slightly to allow for movement, align the headboard sections, and then tighten all fasteners sequentially.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • High-end aesthetic with unique curved headboard design
  • Soft, tactile fabric provides a cozy atmosphere
  • Neutral colorway fits seamlessly into diverse decor styles
  • Sturdy platform construction provides reliable support

Cons

  • Requires full self-assembly upon arrival
  • Boucle fabric can be more difficult to clean than smooth synthetics
  • Color may vary slightly from online representations due to lighting

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup: The bed arrives in multiple components and requires self-assembly. Ensure you have a clear floor space and a basic set of tools before beginning. It is recommended to assemble the frame with two people to ensure components are aligned correctly.

Compatibility: This platform frame is designed to work with standard mattress sizes. Please verify the internal dimensions of the frame against your mattress dimensions to ensure a snug fit.

Care: To maintain the appearance of the boucle fabric, use a soft-bristled brush or a vacuum cleaner with an upholstery attachment to remove dust. Blot spills immediately with a clean, dry cloth; do not rub the fabric, as this may distort the boucle texture.
