Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
Upon receiving the bike, it's recommended to have it professionally assembled or to follow a detailed assembly guide. Key steps include:
- Installing the handlebar into the stem.
- Attaching the pedals to the crank arms (note: left pedal is reverse-threaded).
- Inflating tires to the recommended pressure (check tire sidewall for range).
- Adjusting saddle height and position for optimal fit.
- Checking brake and gear adjustments before riding.
Compatibility:
- Tires: Max tire clearance is 2.4 inches. The wheels are 29" tubeless-ready.
- Drivetrain: Uses a standard 12-speed mountain bike system.
- Brakes: Compatible with standard hydraulic disc brake mounts.
Care:
- Cleaning: Regularly clean the frame, drivetrain, and suspension with mild soap and water. Avoid high-pressure washing directly on bearings or suspension seals.
- Drivetrain Maintenance: Keep the chain clean and lubricated. Periodically check for wear.
- Brake Care: Ensure brake pads are not worn and rotors are clean. Have hydraulic brakes bled if they feel spongy.
- Suspension: Follow RockShox's recommended service intervals for the Judy Gold fork to maintain optimal performance.
- Storage: Store the bike in a dry, protected environment away from extreme temperatures.
