Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Cut the damaged or desired end of your audio cable.
- Carefully strip the outer insulation to expose the internal wires (typically left audio, right audio, and ground).
- Tin the ends of the individual wires and the solder terminals on the connector.
- Solder each wire to its corresponding terminal on the connector.
- Ensure no solder bridges or stray wires are present.
- Gently reassemble the connector housing.
Compatibility:
This connector is compatible with standard 3.5mm (1/8 inch) stereo audio cables. It is suitable for use with headphones, microphones, auxiliary audio inputs, and other line-level audio signals.
Care:
As this is a passive connector, no electronic care is required. Keep the connector and surrounding cable clean and dry. Avoid excessive pulling or bending at the connection point to maintain the integrity of the solder joint and housing.
