Setup, Compatibility & Care
Preparation is key for best results. Ensure the subfloor is clean, dry, and smooth before application. Remove all dirt, dust, grease, and old adhesive. The tiles are best applied to a flat, hard surface. Avoid applying to newly laid vinyl or linoleum flooring as this can cause issues with adhesion. For best results, open the packaging carefully to access the fitting instructions printed inside.
Installation Steps:
- Plan Layout: Arrange tiles on the floor without removing the backing to finalize your design and ensure proper fit.
- Peel and Stick: Carefully peel back a portion of the backing paper from one tile.
- Align and Press: Position the tile, aligning it with the edge of the previous tile or wall. Press down firmly, working from the center outwards to eliminate air bubbles.
- Continue Tiling: Repeat the process for remaining tiles, ensuring a tight fit against adjacent tiles.
Compatibility:
These tiles are compatible with most standard, smooth, and dry subfloors, including concrete, wood, and existing vinyl. They are not recommended for use on textured surfaces or areas that are frequently wet without additional sealing.
Care Instructions:
To maintain the appearance and longevity of your tiles, regularly clean them with a damp cloth, a mop, or a mild cleaning agent. Avoid abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals that could damage the gloss finish. Promptly wipe up any spills to prevent staining.
