The Shimano SLX RD-M7120 rear derailleur is designed for the ultimate in shifting performance and durability. It features a super low-profile Shadow Plus design with an optimized slant angle for light shifting action. The chain-stabilizing switch reduces chain bounce in rough terrain for stable drive and shifting. A single tension spring prevents contact with the chainstay for a silent ride, and a rubber bumper on the pulley cage further enhances quiet operation. The 13T pulleys and decreased derailleur tension prevent high chain tension in low gears. This derailleur is specifically designed to work with 12-speed double drivetrains. It boasts a full carbon fiber outer pulley cage for weight savings and an alloy inner cage for rigidity. The cold-forged wide alloy links and pivot body, along with four fluorine-coated link pin bushings, ensure durability. A strong return spring provides a positive shifting feel. It is compatible with Shimano's new 12-speed cassettes, boosting range. The average weight is 241g.
