Troubleshooting

Sponge does not expand fully

Ensure the sponge is adequately saturated with water. Rinse or soak for a few minutes until it reaches its full 5cm thickness.

Sponge feels too abrasive on a surface

Rinse the sponge thoroughly to ensure no grit is trapped. Use lighter pressure or switch to a softer cleaning cloth for very delicate surfaces. Always test in an inconspicuous area first.

Sponge retains odors

Rinse the sponge thoroughly with water and a mild soap. Allow it to air dry completely. For stubborn odors, a soak in a diluted vinegar solution (1 part vinegar to 5 parts water) followed by a thorough rinse can help.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To use the Goodyear Expanding Sponge, simply remove it from its vacuum-sealed packaging. The sponge will be in a compressed state. To expand it to its full 5cm thickness, rinse it under running water or soak it in water. Once expanded, it is ready for use.

This sponge is compatible with a wide variety of cleaning solutions and can be used on numerous surfaces including, but not limited to, countertops, glass, tile, plastic, finished wood, and painted surfaces.

Care Instructions: After each use, rinse the sponge thoroughly with clean water to remove all debris and cleaning solutions. Squeeze out excess water and allow it to air dry completely before storing. Avoid using harsh solvents or bleach, as these can degrade the foam. Store in a dry place to prevent mildew.
