Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup (for cutters up to 15mm):
- Thread the punch onto the hexagonal screw.
- Pass the hexagonal screw through the desired hole location in the sheet metal.
- Position the die on the opposite side of the sheet metal, over the protruding screw.
- Screw the die nut onto the hexagonal screw until it just touches the metal surface.
- Using a compatible 5mm hexagonal wrench, turn the hexagonal screw clockwise.
- The screw will pull the punch through the metal, creating a clean hole.
Compatibility:
- Designed for sheet metal up to 16 gauge thickness.
- Requires a separate 5mm hexagonal wrench (key).
- Note: Punches 15mm and larger have a different configuration and may not use a die nut.
Care:
- Wipe the punch and die clean after each use to remove debris.
- Apply a light coat of oil to the cutting edges and threads periodically to prevent rust, especially if stored for extended periods.
- Store in a dry place.
