Setup, Compatibility & Care
Upon arrival, the plant should be removed from its packaging and watered thoroughly. If keeping it in a container, ensure the pot has adequate drainage holes and use a high-quality, free-draining compost.
- Positioning: Choose a spot in full sun or light shade.
- Watering: During the first year, keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged. Established plants in pots will need more frequent watering during hot summer months.
- Pruning: To maintain the compact habit, trim back new growth in early spring. This encourages denser, bushier stems for the coming season.
- Feeding: Use a balanced liquid fertilizer during the active growing season (spring to early autumn) if the plant appears to be growing slowly.
