FAQs

What is the main benefit of the platform-top construction?

The platform-top construction provides a solid, even surface that supports your mattress consistently, preventing sagging and extending its lifespan.

Is the mattress firm or soft?

The mattress has a medium comfort rating, offering a balance between support and pressure relief suitable for many sleepers.

Can I flip the mattress over?

No, this is a single-sided mattress and is designed to be rotated from head to foot, not flipped over.

What are the dimensions of the headboard?

The headboard is 54 inches tall and stands on the floor for added stability.

How do I clean the fabric parts of the bed?

Wipe the fabric with a slightly damp cloth and mild detergent. Avoid harsh chemicals and ensure the fabric dries thoroughly.

Are there storage options available with this divan set?

The specific product listed is a standard divan bed set. Storage options like drawers may be available in other variants of the Comfort Naples Divan Bed Set, such as MPN 0039752362487.

What is the warranty period for this bed set?

The product comes with a 1-year guarantee.

Troubleshooting

Divan base feels unstable

Ensure all gliders are securely attached and the base is on a level surface. Check that the headboard is firmly connected to the base.

Mattress feels uneven

Rotate the mattress from head to foot as it is single-sided. Ensure it is positioned correctly on the platform base and that no objects are trapped underneath.

Fabric on headboard or base is dirty

Gently spot clean with a slightly damp cloth and a mild detergent. Always test on an inconspicuous area first and allow to air dry completely.

Difficulty moving the bed

Ensure the chrome gliders are clean and free of debris. Lift one side of the bed slightly to reposition rather than dragging.

Pros and Cons

Pros

  • Durable platform-top base for consistent mattress support.
  • Stylish 54-inch floor-standing headboard with a modern cube design.
  • Handcrafted in the UK for assured quality.
  • Choice of fabric collections to personalize your space.
  • Protective chrome gliders for floor care.

Cons

  • Mattress is best suited for spare or occasional use.
  • Single-sided mattress requires rotating, not flipping.
  • Lack of handles on the mattress can make rotation more difficult.
  • Open-coil spring system may not offer the same level of contouring as pocket springs for some users.

Setup, Compatibility & Care

Setup:

  1. Assemble the divan base according to the provided instructions. This typically involves attaching the gliders to the base.
  2. Position the base in your desired location.
  3. Carefully place the mattress onto the platform top.
  4. Attach the floor-standing headboard to the designated points on the divan base.

Compatibility:

  • This divan bed set is designed to work optimally with the included Comfort mattress. While other mattresses of the same size may fit, the platform-top base is best suited for mattresses that do not require a sprung or slatted base for optimal performance.

Care Instructions:

  • Base: Wipe the fabric with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners. The chrome gliders can be cleaned with a metal polish if needed.
  • Mattress: This is a single-sided mattress, meaning it is designed to be rotated (end-to-end) but not flipped. Regularly rotate the mattress to ensure even wear. Use a mattress protector to guard against spills and stains. Clean the mattress surface with a mild upholstery cleaner and a soft brush if necessary, ensuring it dries completely before use. Do not soak the mattress.
  • Headboard: Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. For deeper cleaning, use a slightly damp cloth and dry immediately. Avoid abrasive cleaners.
