Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Gather Tools: You will need a drill, level, stud finder, measuring tape, and appropriate screws/wall anchors for your wall type (e.g., drywall anchors, wood screws for studs).
- Locate Studs: Use a stud finder to locate wall studs for the most secure mounting. If studs are not available, use heavy-duty drywall anchors suitable for the shelf's weight capacity.
- Mark Placement: Hold the shelf bracket (if included, or follow manufacturer's specific mounting system) against the wall at your desired height and use a level to ensure it is straight. Mark the screw hole locations.
- Drill Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. If using anchors, insert them now.
- Mount Bracket/Shelf: Securely fasten the mounting bracket to the wall using appropriate screws. Ensure it is firmly attached.
- Attach Shelf: Slide the shelf onto the bracket or follow the specific instructions for your shelf's mounting system. Ensure it is flush and secure.
Compatibility:
This shelf is designed for mounting on standard interior walls. Ensure your wall type can support the weight of the shelf plus its intended contents. It is compatible with most standard wall mounting hardware.
Care:
- Clean with a slightly damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or excessive moisture, as this can damage the wood finish.
- For deeper cleaning or to revive the finish, a suitable wood polish or wax can be used periodically.
- Avoid placing directly under high-moisture sources like steaming vents if possible.
