Setup:
- Ensure the vehicle is safely elevated and the exhaust system is cool.
- Identify the damaged or corroded section of the exhaust pipe.
- Measure the outer diameter of the exhaust pipes to confirm they are 50mm.
- Slide the FA1 pipe connector onto one of the pipes, ensuring adequate overlap.
- Position the second pipe section inside the connector.
- Tighten the double clamps evenly until a secure, leak-free fit is achieved. Use appropriate torque if specified by vehicle manufacturer.
Compatibility:
This connector is designed for vehicles manufactured between 03/1994 and 11/2002, with specific VIN ranges also applicable. It is confirmed compatible with manual transmission vehicles and engines starting with '104 001'. Key compatible brands and models include VW (Golf IV, Passat, Polo, Bora), Audi (A4, A6, A3, 80, 100), Mercedes-Benz (A-Class, B-Class, Vaneo, E-Class), Ford (Kuga, Galaxy), Skoda (Octavia), Seat (Leon, Arosa, Toledo, Ibiza, Cordoba, Inca), and Hyundai models fitting these specifications. Care:
As the connector is made of stainless steel, it requires minimal maintenance. Regular visual inspection for any signs of damage or loosening of clamps is recommended. Cleaning with water and a soft cloth is sufficient. Avoid abrasive cleaners or tools that could scratch the surface.
