Product Information
Full details
The Avid Stealth Bucket Hat is designed for anglers and outdoor enthusiasts who require reliable, low-profile protection against unpredictable weather. Its primary benefit is the combination of a fully waterproof shell with a breathable, quick-dry interior, ensuring comfort throughout long days on the water. While it excels in versatility, the one-size-fits-all design may feel slightly loose on users with very small head circumferences compared to structured fitted hats.

No, we recommend hand washing to preserve the waterproof coating and the structure of the brim.
Will this fit a large head size?
The hat is designed as a one-size-fits-all and features a flexible fit that accommodates most adult head sizes comfortably.
Does the hat provide UV protection?
Yes, the wide brim provides significant shade, which helps reduce direct sun exposure to the face and neck.
Is the material noisy when it rains?
The material is soft-touch polyester, designed to be quiet and comfortable during movement.
Can I wear this in extreme heat?
Yes, the breathable fabric helps manage temperature, though the black color will retain more heat than lighter colors.
Troubleshooting
Brim feels misshapen from packaging
Gently steam the brim with a garment steamer and reshape it with your hands, then let it cool and set.
Water soaking through after heavy use
Ensure the hat is clean, as dirt and oils can clog the fabric pores. If clean, re-apply a DWR (Durable Water Repellent) spray.

- Lacks a chin strap for very windy conditions
Setup, Compatibility & Care
Since this hat is one-size-fits-all, no manual adjustments are required upon arrival. To maintain the waterproof integrity of the polyester material, follow these care guidelines:
- Hand Wash Only: Use cool water and a mild, non-detergent soap if necessary.
- Air Dry: Always allow the hat to air dry in a shaded, well-ventilated area. Avoid direct heat sources like radiators or tumble dryers, as high heat can damage the waterproof coating.
- Storage: Store the hat in a dry place. Avoid folding it tightly for extended periods to maintain the brim's shape.
- Maintenance: If the waterproof performance diminishes over time, apply a standard outdoor fabric water-repellent spray designed for polyester.
