Full details
The Sloomy Somerset Plush Divan Set is designed for those seeking a durable and stylish bed frame with a comfortable mattress. Its key benefit is the premium platform-top construction offering even mattress support and easy floor protection with its chrome gliders. A potential caveat is that the included mattress is best suited for spare rooms or occasional use due to its medium comfort rating and open-coil system.

FAQs
What is the main benefit of the platform-top construction?
The platform-top construction provides a consistently even surface for your mattress, preventing sagging and extending its lifespan, while also offering a clean, modern look.
Can I choose a different mattress firmness?
This specific divan set comes with a medium comfort mattress. For different firmness levels, you would typically need to purchase a compatible mattress separately to place on the divan base.
How do I maintain the chrome gliders?
The chrome gliders are designed to protect floors and facilitate movement. Wipe them with a dry or slightly damp cloth to keep them clean. Avoid abrasive cleaners that could scratch the finish.
Is this bed suitable for everyday use?
The bed frame is suitable for everyday use. However, the included mattress is noted as being ideal for spare rooms or occasional use, suggesting it might be best complemented with a different mattress for heavy, nightly use depending on individual support needs.
What are the fabric options available?
You can choose from Sloomy's curated fabric collections including Plush Velvet, Naples, Coniston, and Dumfries, offering a range of textures and colors.
Does the mattress need to be turned?
No, this is a single-sided mattress and does not require flipping. However, it is recommended to rotate it end-to-end periodically to ensure even wear.
What is the warranty period?
The product comes with a 1-year manufacturer's guarantee.
Troubleshooting
Bed base is wobbly
Ensure all connecting parts of the divan base are securely tightened. Check that the chrome gliders are firmly attached to the base legs.
Headboard is loose
Verify that the headboard is correctly aligned with the attachment points on the divan base and that all screws or bolts are fully tightened.
Mattress feels uneven
Rotate the mattress end-to-end to ensure even wear. If the unevenness persists, it may be due to the open-coil spring system settling or the mattress being primarily used for occasional sleep. Ensure the mattress is on a fully supportive and level base.
Fabric on base/headboard appears soiled
Spot clean the affected area immediately with a mild upholstery cleaner and a clean cloth. Test any cleaner on an inconspicuous area first. Avoid soaking the fabric.

Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup:
- Unpack all components, ensuring you have the base, headboard, and mattress.
- Assemble the divan base according to the included instructions. This typically involves attaching the gliders to the base and securing any connecting parts.
- Attach the headboard to the designated points on the divan base. Ensure it is securely fastened.
- Place the mattress onto the platform top of the divan base. Note that the mattress is single-sided, so ensure the knitted cover is facing upwards.
Compatibility:
- The Somerset Plush Divan Set is designed to work seamlessly with its included mattress. The platform-top base provides optimal support for this specific mattress type.
- The bed frame is compatible with standard Super King sized bedding.
Care:
- Base: Wipe the fabric with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Headboard: Gently dust with a soft, dry cloth. For fabric spills, spot clean with a mild upholstery cleaner, following the product's instructions.
- Mattress: As this is a single-sided mattress, it does not require flipping. However, regular rotation (end-to-end) is recommended to ensure even wear. Use a mattress protector to safeguard against spills and stains. Vacuum the mattress surface occasionally to remove dust. Ensure the mattress is placed on a flat, supportive surface.
