Product Information
Full details
The Olympia Whiteware 175mm salad bowl is designed for professional caterers, hotel staff, and canteen managers who require reliable, chip-resistant dinnerware for high-traffic environments. Its primary benefit is its exceptional durability and stackable design, which streamlines storage in busy kitchens; however, users should note that at 175mm, these bowls are best suited for side salads or smaller portions rather than large main-course servings.

Troubleshooting
Stubborn food stains on the glaze
Soak the bowl in a mild solution of warm water and professional-grade dish detergent for 30 minutes before running it through a standard dishwasher cycle.
Difficulty stacking bowls securely
Ensure that the bowls are completely dry before stacking; moisture between stacked surfaces can create a suction effect or cause slipping.
Pros and Cons
Pros
- Extremely durable vitrified porcelain construction
- Lifetime edge-chip warranty ensures long-term value
- Versatile use from freezer to oven
- Space-efficient stackable design for commercial storage
- Professional, clean white aesthetic matches most tableware
Cons
- Small 175mm size may be too limited for large salads
- Porcelain can be heavy compared to melamine alternatives
- Requires careful handling to avoid breakage if dropped on hard surfaces
Setup, Compatibility & Care
No specialized setup is required; the bowls are ready for immediate use upon washing. They are fully compatible with standard professional dishwashing detergents and high-heat cycles. To maintain the finish and structural integrity, avoid using abrasive steel wool pads during cleaning, as these can dull the white glaze over time. If stacking for long-term storage, ensure they are kept in a stable area to prevent tipping. The bowls are compatible with other Olympia Whiteware products, offering a cohesive look if you decide to expand your collection with larger bowls or matching plates.
