Setup, Compatibility & Care
For optimal growth, plant your 9cm container-grown shrub in a sunny, well-draining spot. Ensure the soil is enriched with organic matter, but avoid heavy, waterlogged clay which can cause root issues during winter. If your garden is prone to frost, consider a site against a warm wall for added protection. During the first year, maintain consistent moisture until the plant is established. Pruning should be kept to a minimum, primarily to remove dead or damaged growth in early spring. In colder regions, a thick layer of mulch around the base in late autumn can help protect the roots from freezing temperatures.
