It dries quickly for rapid layering, lowers viscosity, minimizes brush strokes, and extends your color further without affecting acrylic stability while maintaining paint adhesion, durability, and archival quality. It is fully intermixable with all Liquitex products and works best with transparent and semi-transparent colors for rich glazed effects. It can be thinned by diluting with up to 25% water (distilled water will give best results). Mix as much as you like into acrylic color to create the desired viscosity and transparency. Stir gently to avoid creating foam; if bubbles appear, let it sit while the bubbles rise and disappear. Color will temporarily lighten and then return to its original level when dry. Mix with Slo-Dri Medium or Slow-Dri Fluid Additive to extend working time. Let each layer dry completely before applying the next. Apply to dry, painted areas to change coloration without losing established detail. Do not shake or vigorously over-brush, as this can result in a foggy, hazy look when dry. Do not use with any non-acrylic media. Liquitex Professional Glazing Medium is perfect for creating brilliant jewel-like glazes with acrylic artist colours. It offers excellent brushing and levelling qualities and dries quickly for rapid layering. The finish is a slight gloss sheen. Mix with any amount of acrylic colour; small quantities of colour provide the most transparency. Works best with transparent or translucent colours. It is flexible, non-yellowing and water resistant when dry. Apply to dry, painted areas to change coloration without losing established detail. Under layer must be thoroughly dry before applying the next coat. May be dried with a hair dryer to speed drying. Mix in a small amount of colour with the medium, mix thoroughly, and the colour will lighten. Colour will darken and go back to a thin, transparent version of the original colour as the medium dries and becomes transparent.
