The Supa Activated Filter Carbon 3 Litre is an essential chemical filtration media designed for aquarium and pond enthusiasts who require high-performance water purification. Ideal for both freshwater and marine environments, this carbon effectively adsorbs heavy metals, odors, and organic pollutants to maintain pristine water quality. While it provides excellent clarity and detoxification, users must remember that activated carbon reaches saturation over time and requires periodic replacement to maintain its efficacy.

The carbon may be fully saturated. Activated carbon loses its effectiveness over time; replace the old carbon with a fresh batch.
To prepare the carbon for use, rinse the granules thoroughly under running tap water until the dust clears to prevent clouding your aquarium upon initial setup. Place the desired amount into a filter media bag, seal it, and place it in the designated chemical filtration stage of your filter. For long-term care, keep the bucket tightly sealed in a cool, dry place. Replace the carbon every 4 to 8 weeks depending on the bio-load of your tank, as the pores of the carbon will eventually fill up and stop filtering effectively.
