Product Information

Full details

The Fox Ranger Short Sleeve MTB Jersey is designed for mountain bikers who demand technical performance without sacrificing the casual look and feel of a classic t-shirt. By utilizing moisture-wicking TruDri fabric and mountain bike-specific tailoring, it keeps riders cool and comfortable during intense sessions on the trail. While it offers excellent versatility for everyday wear, users should note that as a lightweight jersey, it does not provide the abrasion resistance found in heavy-duty downhill body armor or specialized protective gear.

FAQs

Is this jersey suitable for warm weather?

Yes, the TruDri moisture-wicking fabric is specifically designed to keep you cool and dry in warmer riding conditions.

Can I wear this with body armor?

The jersey has a tailored fit; if you plan to wear substantial body armor underneath, you might consider sizing up for comfort.

Does the jersey have any pockets?

No, the Ranger Short Sleeve Jersey is designed for a minimalist, casual feel and does not include integrated pockets.

How should I wash this jersey?

Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle. Do not use bleach or fabric softeners, and air dry whenever possible.

Is the fit true to size?

The jersey is designed with a standard mountain bike fit. It is generally true to size for a comfortable, non-restrictive feel.

Troubleshooting

Fabric feels damp after long rides

Ensure you are not using fabric softeners during laundry, as they coat the fibers and block the wicking process.

Visible snagging or pulls in fabric

Avoid contact with sharp trailside brush or Velcro straps from other gear when washing or storing the jersey.

Pros and Cons

Pros

Excellent moisture-wicking capabilities
Casual, understated style suitable for off-bike use

Tailored specifically for MTB riding ergonomics

Cons

Lightweight fabric lacks specialized crash protection
Casual fit may flap slightly in very high-speed wind conditions
Limited storage as it contains no pockets

Setup, Compatibility & Care

To ensure the longevity of your Fox Ranger Jersey, always refer to the care label inside the garment. It is recommended to machine wash on a gentle cycle with like colors, using a mild detergent. Avoid the use of fabric softeners, as they can compromise the moisture-wicking properties of the synthetic TruDri fibers. Air drying is preferred to prevent heat damage to the fabric integrity, though tumble drying on a low-heat setting is generally acceptable if necessary. As this jersey features a standard MTB fit, it is compatible with most chest and back protectors worn underneath, though you may want to size up if you prefer a looser fit over armor.
