Setup, Compatibility & Care
To set up your gravel, begin by rinsing it gently in a clean bucket to remove any surface particles incurred during transit. Place the gravel carefully into the aquarium using a scoop to prevent scratching the glass.
Regarding compatibility, this gravel is safe for all standard aquarium inhabitants, including delicate invertebrates and live plants. For maintenance, ensure you use a standard gravel siphon during water changes. Because the epoxy coating is durable, regular siphoning will not strip the color, though users should avoid using harsh chemical cleaners that could degrade the coating over time. A simple water-only siphon is sufficient to remove organic debris from the substrate surface.
