The Whadda WPSH207 Motor Driver Shield contains two L293D drivers and a 74HC595 shift register, and is ideal for driving DC or stepper motors. The shift register expands 3 pins from the Arduino® to 8 pins for controlling the direction of the motors. The Shield features separate logic and motor power connections Provides two L293D motor driver chips and four H-bridges Supports up to 4 bi-directional DC motors or up to 2 stepper motors 0.6 A per bridge (1.2 A peak) Terminal block connectors for motors and power Supports motor voltages from 4.5V DC to 16V DC Two connections for 5V hobby servos Pull down resistors keep motors disabled during power-up Built-in thermal shutdown protection Internal kickback protection diodes
