Setup, Compatibility & Care
Compatibility: Always verify that the NGK 6643 (LZKAR6AP-11) is listed as a compatible replacement part for your specific vehicle's make, model, and year. Check your vehicle's owner's manual or consult a parts database.
Installation:
- Ensure the engine is cool before starting.
- Disconnect the spark plug wire or coil pack.
- Use a spark plug socket wrench to carefully remove the old spark plug.
- Inspect the new plug; confirm it matches the old one and check for any visible damage.
- Gently thread the new spark plug in by hand to avoid cross-threading.
- Tighten the spark plug using a torque wrench to the manufacturer's specifications (refer to your vehicle's manual).
- Reconnect the spark plug wire or coil pack.
Care: Spark plugs are generally maintenance-free once installed. However, during routine engine checks, visually inspect them for signs of fouling, wear, or damage. Avoid using harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners on the spark plug tip.
