Setup, Compatibility & Care
Setup: Upon receiving your Geranium Zonal White Splash, gently remove it from the grower's pot. If the plant appears to have been pruned, this is for its benefit and will encourage bushier growth. Prepare a suitable container or border space with well-drained compost. Plant the geranium at the same depth it was in its original pot.
Compatibility: This variety thrives in bright, sunny positions. It pairs well with other summer-flowering annuals and perennials in mixed borders or container arrangements. Ensure adequate spacing for its mounded habit to develop fully.
Care:
- Sunlight: Place in a location that receives full sun for the best flowering performance.
- Watering: Water regularly, ensuring the compost drains well. Avoid waterlogging, which can lead to root rot.
- Feeding: Apply a light liquid feed every two weeks during the growing season to maintain vibrant blooms.
- Deadheading: Regularly remove faded or spent flowers by pinching them off at the stem base. This encourages the plant to produce new flower buds.
