FAQs
What type of radiators are these valves compatible with?
These valves are specifically designed for radiators with a middle connection and a 1/2 BSPT radiator coupler.
Are these valves thermostatic?
While they allow for adjustable water flow to control temperature, these are manual valves, not fully automatic thermostatic ones. You need to manually adjust the setting.
What material are the valves made from?
The valves are constructed from heavy-duty solid brass with a high-quality chrome-plated finish.
Can I install these myself?
While simple in concept, correct installation is crucial for performance and leak prevention. We recommend professional installation by a qualified plumber.
How do I clean the chrome finish?
Use a soft, damp cloth and mild soap if necessary. Rinse and dry thoroughly. Avoid abrasive materials or chemical cleaners.
What are the dimensions of the valve?
The dimensions are approximately 128mm in length, 80mm in height, and 25mm in width.
Do these valves control both hot and cold water?
These valves are designed for central heating systems, controlling the flow of hot water to and from the radiator, not for domestic hot and cold water supply.
Troubleshooting
Valve is leaking.
Check all compression fittings and connections for tightness. Ensure the correct sealing tape or compound has been used. If the leak persists, the valve may need professional inspection or replacement.
Radiator is not heating up.
Ensure the valve is not fully closed and that the central heating system is operational. Check for any blockages within the radiator or pipework. Verify the H-block valve is correctly installed and oriented.
Difficulty adjusting the valve handle.
The valve may be new and stiff, or sediment may have accumulated. Gently try to move the handle back and forth. If resistance is significant, a system flush might help dislodge debris. Do not force the handle.
Valve finish is tarnished.
Clean with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners. If the tarnish is severe, it may indicate damage to the plating, and professional advice should be sought.
Pros and Cons

Setup, Compatibility & Care Instructions
Setup: These valves are designed for central heating systems with a middle connection for radiators. Ensure your radiator has a 1/2 BSPT radiator coupler. The compression inlets are 15mm. Professional installation by a qualified plumber is recommended to ensure correct fitting and prevent leaks.
Compatibility: Compatible with middle connection water radiator ranges. Verify your radiator's connection type before purchasing. Not suitable for systems requiring angled or corner valve configurations unless adapted.
Care: To maintain the polished chrome finish, clean the valves periodically with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using abrasive cleaners or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the plating. For internal care, periodic system flushing as recommended for your central heating system should suffice.
