The Bosch PRO X-Lock Adapter is an essential tool for professional contractors and DIY enthusiasts who own a standard M14 angle grinder but wish to utilize the efficient, tool-free X-Lock accessory system. This adapter offers the key benefit of cross-platform compatibility, allowing you to swap grinding and cutting discs in seconds without needing a wrench, though it does add a slight amount of depth to your existing grinder profile, which may affect clearance in extremely tight spaces.

No, the bottle opener is a convenience feature and does not impact the structural integrity or performance of the grinder adapter.
You should hear a distinct 'click' sound when the X-Lock accessory is properly snapped into the adapter interface.
Check that the adapter flange is fully tightened onto the spindle using the provided 2-hole spanner and that the X-Lock disc is properly clicked into the mechanism.
Ensure the power to the grinder is off and that there is no debris trapped in the X-Lock release lever; press the release lever firmly to disengage the disc.
To install the adapter, first ensure your M14 angle grinder is disconnected from any power source. Thread the adapter flange onto the M14 spindle and use the included 2-hole spanner to ensure it is tightened firmly. Once the adapter base is locked in place, you can snap your X-Lock compatible accessories onto the interface. For care, regularly inspect the X-Lock locking mechanism for metal debris or dust buildup, as these can impede the locking springs. Keep the threads clean and occasionally wipe the locking collar with a dry cloth to ensure smooth operation.
