Setup, Compatibility & Care
Initial Setup
- Set the Time: Gently pull the crown (the small knob on the side of the watch case) outwards until you feel a click. Turn the crown to adjust the hour and minute hands to the correct time. Once set, push the crown firmly back into its original position to start the watch.
- Bracelet Adjustment: The stainless steel bracelet may need to be sized to your wrist for optimal comfort and fit. This usually involves removing links. It is recommended to have this done by a professional jeweler or watch repair service, or by using a specialized watch link removal tool. Incorrect adjustment can damage the bracelet.
Compatibility
This watch is a standalone accessory and does not require compatibility with other devices. It's designed to complement a wide range of personal styles and outfits.
Care & Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the watch case and bracelet regularly with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth to remove dirt, oils, and moisture. For stubborn grime, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring to dry thoroughly afterward. Avoid using harsh chemicals, solvents, or abrasive cleaners, as these can damage the finish and seals.
- Water Resistance: The 5 ATM rating means the watch is resistant to splashes, rain, and brief immersion. Do NOT wear it while swimming, showering, bathing, or engaging in water sports. Always ensure the crown is fully pushed in to maintain water resistance.
- Avoid Extreme Conditions: Protect the watch from extreme temperatures (hot or cold), strong magnetic fields, and direct impact. These can affect the accuracy of the quartz movement and the integrity of the watch components.
- Battery Replacement: The quartz movement requires a battery. When the watch stops ticking, it's time for a battery replacement. It is advisable to have this done by a professional to ensure the correct battery type is used and the water resistance seal is properly maintained upon reassembly.
