Setup
- Preparation: Gather all components of the kit and ensure you have the necessary tools (e.g., saw or knife to cut the downpipe).
- Downpipe Modification: Cut a section out of your downpipe where you want to install the diverter.
- Diverter Installation: Insert the diverter into the downpipe, following the instructions provided in the kit. Secure it firmly.
- Hose Connection: Attach the flexible hose to the diverter and connect the other end to your water butt.
- Secure and Test: Ensure all connections are secure, and test by allowing rainwater to flow through the system.
Compatibility
The Ketobarrow Water Butt Diverter Kit is compatible with:
- 68mm square PVC downpipes
- 65mm round PVC downpipes
Care
- Regular Cleaning: Periodically inspect and clean the diverter and hose to remove any debris.
- Winter Preparation: In areas with freezing temperatures, consider disconnecting the diverter and hose during winter to prevent damage from freezing.
- Maintenance: Regularly check for leaks and ensure all connections remain secure.
