Gutermann Sew-all thread is designed for sewing enthusiasts and professionals who require a high-quality, versatile thread for a variety of fabric projects. Its primary benefit is providing optimal stitch security and durability without the issues of fiber lint or puckering, making it ideal for both hand and machine sewing. However, users should note that each reel is limited to 100 meters, which may require stocking multiple spools for large-scale garment construction.

While it is a strong all-purpose thread, for very thick denim or heavy-duty industrial work, a specialized upholstery or heavy-weight thread is generally recommended.
It can be used in sergers, though the 100-meter length is often better suited for standard sewing machines rather than high-consumption serger applications.
Being a high-quality polyester, it has excellent dimensional stability and is highly resistant to shrinking during standard laundry cycles.
Yes, it works well for hand piecing and general hand sewing tasks where durability and strength are required.
This product is made from high-quality, durable synthetic polyester.
Gutermann produces this thread in Germany.
Check your machine tension settings and ensure you are using a needle within the recommended size range of 70-90.
Re-thread both the top spool and the bobbin, ensuring the thread is properly seated in all tension discs.
To achieve the best results with Gutermann Sew-all thread, always match your needle size to the fabric weight. For most general-purpose sewing, a universal needle in the size range of 70 to 90 is recommended.
When loading the thread into your machine, ensure the spool is placed on the pin according to your machine’s manual instructions to maintain a smooth feed. To care for your thread, keep spools away from direct sunlight and store them in a cool, dry place to maintain the fiber integrity over time. Avoid extreme heat, which can affect the synthetic polyester coating.
