Setup, Compatibility & Care
To achieve the best results, use paper between 65lb and 80lb weight; heavier materials may cause the punch to jam or wear the internal blade prematurely. To maintain the punch, periodically punch through a sheet of waxed paper to lubricate the blades, or use a piece of aluminum foil to sharpen them slightly. Always store the tool in a dry, room-temperature environment to prevent blade oxidation. If you notice paper fibers accumulating inside the mechanism, use a can of compressed air to blow out the debris before it builds up.
