Setup, Compatibility & Care
To begin, solder the included 5-pin header onto the breakout board for breadboard mounting. Connect the V+ pin to the positive side of your power supply and the V- pin to the load's positive input. Ensure the ground of your sensor board is connected to the common ground of your system.
- Compatibility: Compatible with any microcontroller that has an analog input, such as the Raspberry Pi (via an ADC breakout), Arduino, or ESP32.
- Safety: Do not exceed 60V or 5A, as this will damage the shunt resistor and the INA169 IC.
- Modification: If you need different sensitivity, locate the load resistor trace, carefully cut it, and solder a new through-hole resistor in its place. For example, a 20k resistor will result in 2V per Amp.
